Montreal, June 26, 2008—Attractions Hippiques has been placed under the protection of the Companies’ Creditors’ Arrangement Act. The court has appointed RSM Richter Inc. to supervise its operations for an indefinite period. Attractions Hippiques sought the time it needs to restructure, given the impasse in which it has been placed by Loto-Québec Loto-Québec and the Quebec government, and to protect itself from legal action such as the recent demand by the Association du trot et amble du Québec (ATAQ) and other claims by some of its creditors.

Attractions Hippiques recently issued a legal demand to Loto-Québec asking that the government agency compensate it for damages and find a viable solution to this deadlock.
